A Different Approach to the Wound Environment
Factor™ Advanced Biofilm Gel is a thermoreversible wound-care hydrogel developed to help manage the wound environment. At room temperature, Factor™ has a low viscosity that allows it to flow into the wound. At body temperature, it becomes a thicker hydrogel that conforms to the wound bed and tunnels while maintaining a moist environment. The product is described as non-cytotoxic.

Factor™ Treatment Protocol

Remove dressing and rinse wound, debride necrotic tissue as appropriate

Apply Factor™ to approximately the thickness of a nickel

Allow to firm up and create thick, flexible gel as it warms to body temperature
-
Cover with appropriate dressing
-
Continue treatment/dressing changes until wound has closed
